Earlier in the week I had the pleasure of visiting The School of Artisan Food in Sherwood Forest for a morning class in bakery. Set within the grounds of the Welbeck estate the school is housed in the old estate’s fire station, a beautiful 1850 building surrounding a large cobbled stone courtyard. The school is the first of it's type in the UK, offering a diploma course in the art of artisan food making. I had a lovely morning attending a bakery class by Emmanuel Hadjiandreou, head baker at Judges Bakery in Hastings. The school also offers short paid courses, for more details check out their website www.schoolofartisanfood.org
